The company is owned and run by Jan van Iperen, a Dutch entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in the citrus, juice and beverage industry, who currently works and resides in California.

1976

Company Founded

Continuing his experience working with his uncle August Dubru and after growing the export network for Cutrale since 1966, indupro is established by Mr. John van Iperen.

1989

Florida Treatt

John van Iperen (together with fellow Dutchman Jan Soudijn) helps RC Treatt set up Florida Treatt in Haines City.

2001

Family Business

Triggered by what was spoon-fed to him from a young age, Jan van Iperen joins his father's company

Family Ambitions

After learning the ropes, the knowledge and network for 7 years, Jan indicates interest to take over the family business.

2012

Next Generation

After 4 years of gradual take over, Jan becomes the owner of indupro. John stays on as senior advisor to the

Fed up with the high costs for delayed industry news, Jan starts a email newsletter, Juice News.

2016

A New Frontier

Driven by opportunity and adventure, Jan and his family move to Washington, DC. indupro moves to a new timezone.

2022

End of an Era

On July 16th, 2022, John van Iperen, pioneer in the world of citrus ingredients and by-products, juices and concentrates, passes away. A big loss for his family and for the industry.

Our Basics

  1. indupro is a broker, NOT a trader — We operate on behalf of and for the producer or seller of the product.
  2. indupro is transparent and respects lines — We are always transparent when introducing new prospect buyers to a producer. Mutually, I expect full transparency from the producer about existing lines and relationships.
  3. indupro strives for the best price — The best price is not always the highest price. We make sure that strategically it is the best price to build long term relationships between seller and buyer.
  4. indupro prefers end-users over traders — To build long term relationships, We prefer to have direct-to-end-user connections. Exceptions are made when end-users have preferred agents or traders handling procurement for them.
  5. indupro operates confidentially — Even without NDA, information, IP and network are treated confidential and always discussed before disclosure to a third party.
  6. indupro’s work is compensated with a retainer and/or commission — The retainer is to be paid before the 5th day of each month, the commission within 10 days after producer’s receipt of the client’s funds.
